I wanted to say thank you for doing the event for my school. Bossier Parish Community College. My art piece is absolutely gorgeous. The characters you used are perfect for me especially the lighthouse as I have a deep love of lighthouses. I plan to get it framed and it will be the focal point in my living room.
—— Renee Bodin, Bossier Parrish Community College
“Pippi’s Art was a huge hit on campus with students constantly coming to have their names painted! Robin was very easy to work with, and I am looking forward to working with her again!” – Jared Morrison, Lynn University, Coordinator of Student Involvement About the Art
NAME PAINTING ART played an important role in the life of common people throughout the 500 years of the reign by Lee Dynasty in Korea. Originating in the 16th century, now this precious form of art is being introduced to the college and corporate market in the U.S. Our skilled artist will transform your name, nickname or initials into beautifully woven pictures of art and calligraphy.
Character painting also greatly contributed to spreading confucian ideas in the Lee Dynasty era. Unlike Buddhist ideas that emphasize on happiness and life hereafter, Confucianism emphasized the importance of charity and the happiness of life on earth. Character painting has been used mostly for screens and scrolls that people hung on the walls or even for painting the entire walls to give them a touch of life. Since character painting was frequently used for decorating the interior, the artists normally used bright colors. People loved the simplicity of expression that was unique to this form of painting as it represented living art. |
